I'm Elliott. A long time ago, I wrote about the Cincinnati Reds for my blog, Paint It Red. For whatever reason, I stopped. Maybe it was just part of my pattern of a lacking productive lifestyle outside of work. A lot has changed since then. I moved to Virginia, and started a new job at a tech startup in DC. Is it my passion? I don't know, but for now, it'll pay the bills while I figure out what that passion truly is. Speaking of passions, for a while now I have considered sports and writing to be a couple of my passions, along with a newfound interest in cooking and food. I wondered of a way to combine these interests together into a hobby, or maybe even a career. It was staring at me right in the face...my blog! The blog I practically forgot about (I even had to do the whole "forgot my password" thing). This blog used to be solely about the Reds. I'll still write about them, especially with their new season approaching. But I'll also cook something and write about it. Or I'll eat at a new neighborhood restaurant and write about my experience. I'll also write about other areas of sports, not just Cincinnati baseball (I happen to love basketball and the Boston Celtics too). How will all of these interests and subjects come together in one cohesive blog? I don't know yet. I don't know if I'll even keep the Paint It Red name. But I'll get to that eventually. For now, I'm just going to write. Thanks for reading.
